Introduction
The Nutritional Research and Educational Foundation, Inc, was set
up in April 1994 to foster research in the areas of nutrition and
cancer. Under the direction of Nicholas J. Gonzalez, M.D., it sponsors
research and literature review. (Dr. Gonzalez's Website)
The Foundation was originally set up to administer a grant from
Nestle for the completion of a pilot study on pancreatic cancer.
That project was completed in 1998 and subsequently published in
the peer-reviewed journal Nutrition
and Cancer in 1999.
The Foundation also maintains the catalogue of the collection of
journal articles of Dr. Gonzalez, including many older articles
that are difficult to find.
Other plans of the Foundation include support for research and
composition of review articles, collection of reference materials,
and education of medical professionals and the public. The Foundation
also intends, if adequate funding is available, to begin testing
aspects of Dr. Gonzalez's nutritional regimen in animal models of
cancer. For further information, see Future
Projects.
